Proud Mama Squeee!

My oldest child is seventeen today. There should be a loud thunk after that statement because i’m not sure whether to be happy or sad. Where has the time gone and where is my baby? lol

All grown up and doing her own thing these days thats where. My daughter is very artistic, like her father, and a couple of weeks ago even had her first Gallery opening. *cries* I’m so proud of her.

Photography seems to be where most of her focus is going these days and I know she is considering what path it can take her on. And since i’m so excited for her I couldn’t not blog about her today, her birthday…Seventeen.

Here are some of the highlights of her pictures that are being showcased in a Gallery exhibit until mid April.

Yes, that is her guitar and she plays it well. (she is no fun to play Guitar Hero with. she just makes you look bad)

This picture was pressed in between glass in the middle of the room so it was difficult to get a good picture of it. So in case you can’t tell what it is, it is a collection of her movie tickets with the emphasis on Twilight. Yes, she is a teenager and is obsessed with it. But i’ve seen the movie three times myself so who am I to talk?

And the show piece of her collection…the photograph the Gallery chose to enlarge and showcase…

Of course the white spot on this photo is from my bad photography not hers. It’s not easy taking a photo of a photo being lit up by lights at every angle. lol

So Happy Birthday to my baby who I am so proud of.

A very happy birthday to a very talented and beautiful girl! I don’t think I’d ever seen a picture of her. She’s the spitting image of you Eliza. A gallery exhibit at 17. Wow. That’s amazing!

Happy birthday to her and I wish her much success in photography! I am a professional photographer by trade and I know there’s many options open for today’s photographers.
