In one week I will be jetting to vegas for a brief but oh so fun vacation and I am counting down the days. I used to go to Vegas every year but the last few years I haven’t made it so I have lots of new things to see and much to catch up. So with that in mind I give you my 10 favorite things about Sin City.

1. The Fremont Experience – I remember when you could drive down there.

2. $2 Craps tables at The Orleans – I’m not really a big gambler but the last time I was in Vegas my dad taught me where and how to play craps in Vegas. Love it!

3. The Pink Taco restaurant at The Hard Rock Hotel – it’s hip and folksy in what is still one of the coolest hotels is vegas. I always have to pick up a supply of flaming eyeball antenna covers from their gift shop. Why a supply? Because every few months people steal them off my car. But if you have a flaming eyeball on the top of your antenna, you can always find your car in a crowded parking lot.

4. Criss Angel – I lurve him.

5. The view from the top of the Stratosphere hotel and casino.

6. The 3 story M&M store with more colors than I could imagine.

7. Touring the themed hotels. No expense is spared in these marvelous creations. Sure sometimes it can seem vulgar or over the top but hell, it is Vegas.

8. Las Vegas Motor Speedway – Since my husband provides shocks for the Richard Petty Driving Experience we get to take the ride alongs on the track. “If you ain’t first you’re last.” Ricky Bobby

9. The Lion habitat at the MGM – I really do love the big kitties

10. People watching. You really do see the wildest things in Vegas
