Yesterday was the first day of the annual month long novel writing challenge referred to as simply NaNo.

And yours truly has decided at the last minute to go ahead and give it another shot this year. The challenge is to write a 50k novel in the month of November. Last year I wrote the second book in my cougar series which ended at about 47k so it did not quite make it but I was very happy to have completed a first draft in a month.

This year I have too many unfinished projects to focus on one brand new book. So as mentioned last week I am doing several.

Dirty Deeds – a demon novella that needs revisions to add 3k. (this should only take 2 days and I am in fact half way through that now)

Submissive Beauty – a contemporary BDSM that I started earlier this year that got put aside because of pressing deadlines. I intend to get this to 75k this month. (that’s 35K to go) Honestly, i’ve yet to write a book beyond 50k and i’m nervous but equally determined.

Those are my two top priorities. Once those are finished I have some choices to make. I have another revision to add words due by mid december and two novellas due by the end of the year. Just writing that down makes me nervous. I can hear the tick tock of the year slipping away.

I better get back to work so I can get to that writing later.
