Don’t get me wrong. I do not hate Valentine’s Day. I love all things love. Just let me show it in my own way…

My DH and I went out on a date last night and it was nice. We had an entire movie theater to ourselves and that was a lot of fun. We talked loud, munched on popcorn, played with our cell phones. It was all quite decadent. LOL Tonight we’ll be at the gym. (working off the chinese food we plan to eat in this evening)

Anyways… Back to Dean Day.

A couple of years ago a few bloggers got together and decided they wanted to celebrate Valentine’s Day with Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) from Supernatural. As this is one of my all time favorite televesion shows I grasped that idea and clung to it like a freaking life raft and have no intention of letting go. Now I spend Valentine’s Day watching a Supernatural marathon with the family.

Unfortunately my busy schedule this year prohibited me from catching up with the other participants to see if they wanted to do Dean Day again so I think I’m on my own this year.

In years past I’ve detailed all the many things I love about Dean and I don’t know what else to add. You can see last year’s Dean Day here. I never ever tire of his character and it’s always the same things that reel me in. His charm, his humor, his love for family and his unfailing belief in doing the right thing.

So for those of you who are Supernatural fans, I’ll just wish you a Happy Dean Day and leave you with some videos that say it all.

Supernatural has renewed for a 7th season!

Time to party in the streets. Howl at the moon. Bite the one you love. Whatever floats your boat. I know I’m over here happy dancing. I love all things Winchester and love my Deanisms! Rock on Supernatural.

Last year a group of bloggers and huge Dean Winchester fans got together and declared February 14th as Dean Day. We all had so much fun we’ve decided to do it again. I’m hoping it becomes a regular tradition because it’s fun to spend a day declaring our love for Dean and Supernatural.

As for Dean…

There are so many things to love about him that it’s hard to decide where to begin. The most obvious thing is how yummy he is. Each week whether he is fighting bad guys, teasing his brother Sammy, or hitting on women, he looks damn good doing it.

And when he smiles… swoon.

He’s also funny as hell. So much so that fans call his witty wisdom Deanisms. I think it’s his combination of humor , devotion to those he cares about and his unshaking faith in doing the right thing that makes him the perfect hero in Supernatural. I hope as a writer that I’ve learned something about creating characters from Dean.

He also drives my car.

Okay so mine was pea green and not nearly as shiny but that classic Impala was my first car as a teenager and it holds many of my fondest teenage memories.

His taste in music is exceptional. Seriously anyone with a fondness for classic rock is awesome in my book.

I really love it when an incredible actor and wonderfully written character meet. It’s Hollywood magic not to be forgotten. So even when Supernatural ends you can bet I’ll be watching my DVDs of each season for a very long time to come.

Love this show so much. While Monday night is one of my favorite nights on television I was disappointed beyond measure to find out that Sheldon err I mean The Big Bang Theory was already a repeat. Jeez, we just got back from holiday break people.

Luckily Castle was not a repeat and it was a lot of fun as usual. He squealed like a girl, grimaced over a spider, had the cutest fight with Beckett and we found out Castle definitely goes below the fold.

All in all a fun episode. I even rewound the squealed like a girl part so I could laugh again.

Last week was the return of Vampire Diaries and Supernatural. Woot! Seriously now… PUDDING!!!!!! If you missed it then you have no idea of what I speaketh but trust me Dean had me rolling with that one line. Not a believer? No problem I have video proof. hehehe But don’t blame me for any spoilers.

As for Vampire Diaries, it may be a teenage show but even an older chick like myself loves the bad boy Damon. He is B.A.D. and I’m loving every minute of it. Which reminds me I need to hit the CW and rewatch last weeks episode because I missed some of it because I was busy chatting online. (when am I not chatting online?)
